“This was just what I needed. I've had a rough couple of days and now feel flipping fabulous. Thank you.”

What should I expect in a session?

Laughter Yoga involves laughing, breathing and being playful. There will be dancing, there will be funny faces pulled, there will be noise-making. You do not need anything apart from yourself and the ability to access the class. You do not need to be fit or flexible, you only need to bring an open mind, an awareness that the session will involve doing things that feel fun/stupid/ridiculous and that it might, just might, help you feel good.

Please take care of your body the way you would with any exercise class.

How do I access the online classes?

If you’ve never used Zoom before give yourself at least 15 minutes to familiarise yourself with it. You will need to set up a profile, but it’s very simple to use. You can either download the programme or app, or you can access it by browser.

What do I need to take part in the online sessions?

All you need is a willingness to be playful and connect with others, a sense of humour (all sizes welcome) and a place to sit or stand where you feel comfortable being silly. You might want to find a private space outside or inside where you feel comfortable making noise.

Technology-wise you will need a computer/tablet/phone i.e. anything that you can download the programme Zoom onto or open Zoom in a browser with.

How do I book?

Sign up to my mailing list for event details. Mostly I’m running things through Eventbrite these days.

If you would like me to run an event for your group, do get in touch.

I’m passionate about connecting people through play. Laughter Yoga is just one of the tools I use, but I have many other tricks up my sleeve that might suit your group better. Drop me a line and we can discuss!

What does it cost?

Classes are usually £5, but if money is an issue, please get in touch!

How many people can attend?

As many as you can fit round the laptop/computer/phone.

Are children welcome?

Yes! Children are expert laughers - they show the rest of us how to do it.  I keep sessions clean, and ask participants to do the same so that children can join in.

It’s not really my thing and I don’t feel like laughing. What’s in it for me?

The deeper breathing that comes as a result of laughing can have a powerful impact on our health, both mentally and physically. This means it can help you, whether doing something like this is “your thing” or not!

A lot of the people who come to the class (including me sometimes) don’t feel like laughing. We show up anyway and do the exercises, because having done it before, we know that we are likely to feel better afterwards.

If you’re unsure, you’re very welcome to join at 9.50am, when I explain to newcomers a bit more about how the class will run. You’re very welcome to come to that and leave if it doesn’t feel right for you.
